DIVE OUTREACH · POWERED BY HELLODIVE

Privacy Policy

How we handle your information when you visit DiveOutreach.com, make an enquiry or book a consultation.

1. Who we are

Dive Outreach and HelloDive are operated by HelloDive Media & Travel Limited, a New Zealand company responsible for your personal information. Dive Outreach helps dive-industry businesses reach the Chinese market through social media, Chinese content, paid advertising and offline promotion.

2. What we collect and why

  • Enquiries: our Facebook and Instagram instant forms collect your name, company name and work email. Our website forms collect your name, email, phone number and message; the main enquiry form also includes an enquiry topic.
  • Consultations: Calendly collects the details you enter when booking, including your name, email and appointment details. We also keep correspondence about your enquiry.
  • Other website services: we collect an email address if you separately subscribe to our newsletter, account and contact details if you use our client portal, and visit information as described below.

We use enquiry and booking details to respond to you, discuss your marketing needs, arrange your free, no-obligation, 45-minute one-to-one discovery call, and follow up about that enquiry. Other information supports the service you choose or helps us understand and improve website use.

Providing information is voluntary. Without a usable contact email, we may be unable to respond or arrange your consultation. An enquiry or booking does not subscribe you to ongoing marketing emails. Newsletter subscription is a separate, optional choice.

3. Who handles your information

HelloDive team members in New Zealand and China handle enquiries. We manually download Meta leads into spreadsheets stored on company or team computers.

We use these services to handle information:

  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram): advertising enquiry forms.
  • Our website form and Tencent Exmail: delivery of website enquiries to info@hellodive.com.
  • Calendly: consultation bookings.
  • Mailchimp (Intuit): our separate newsletter subscription.
  • Website hosting and database services: running the website and storing website statistics and client-portal records.
  • Google Analytics and Baidu Analytics: usage measurement on older website pages.

Our team and service providers may process information outside your country. Team access includes New Zealand and China; international platforms may process information in other countries under their own privacy policies. See the policies for Meta, Calendly and Intuit.

4. Storage, security and retention

Computers holding exported lead spreadsheets require a login password, and access to those spreadsheets is limited to HelloDive team members responsible for enquiries. The public website uses HTTPS, and website enquiries are sent through an encrypted connection to our email service.

We do not currently have a fixed deletion schedule for enquiry records or exported leads. You can contact us to request deletion. Website statistics are kept separately and can be removed through the website’s maintenance process; browser storage lifetimes are described below.

5. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses a session cookie (PHPSESSID) with a one-day expiry. Our own analytics stores a visitor identifier (do_vid) in your browser until cleared, plus session and campaign information (do_sid and do_utm) for the tab’s session. It records IP addresses, page visits, timing, device category, language, referrer and campaign details; these records are not fully anonymous.

Older contact, services and market pages also load Google Analytics and Baidu Analytics, which may use cookies. Opening the booking calendar loads Calendly, which may use its own cookies. No Meta Pixel script was identified in the website source and public pages we reviewed.

You can clear or block cookies and browser storage in your browser settings. This may affect website features and does not delete records already held by us or our providers.

6. Your choices and rights

Email marketing@hellodive.com to request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information, or to ask us to stop following up. You can also reply to our emails to stop enquiry-related contact. Separate newsletter subscriptions can be cancelled using the unsubscribe link.

We may need to verify your identity before handling a request. We will consider requests under applicable law and explain any reason we cannot fulfil them. Information held independently by a platform may need a separate request to that platform.
