Philippines and HelloDive inspire ocean action with World Oceans Day digital campaign
On World Oceans Day 2021, HelloDive and the Philippine Department of Tourism launched an interactive campaign in China, reaching over 80,000 people.
In June 2021, HelloDive teamed up with the Philippine Department of Tourism to launch a digital campaign in Mainland China, marking World Oceans Day with a fresh focus on marine conservation and dive destination awareness. Delivered through online channels, the initiative aimed to reconnect Chinese audiences with the Philippines as one of Asia’s leading dive destinations.
At the heart of the campaign was an interactive H5 mini-program created by HelloDive. Users could design personalised “Diver’s Pledge” cards carrying ocean protection messages and share them on WeChat Moments and Weibo. This gamified approach not only spread awareness of marine conservation but also presented the Philippines through an engaging and socially relevant lens.
The campaign was amplified across more than 20 partner WeChat accounts and organically shared over 10,000 times, reaching an audience of more than 80,000. By combining creativity, digital expertise, and a strong partner network, HelloDive demonstrated how conservation-driven storytelling can successfully strengthen a destination’s image in the Chinese diving community.
