HelloDive launches new liveaboard comparison feature to improve customer decision-making

​At HelloDive, we are constantly investing in new technology to improve the booking experience for divers while helping our supplier partners present their products more effectively.

One challenge we frequently observe is that customers rarely evaluate a single liveaboard in isolation. Instead, they often compare multiple options before making a booking decision. Until now, that process typically involved opening numerous browser tabs and manually comparing itineraries, vessel specifications, cabin configurations, onboard facilities and pricing.

To simplify this process, we have launched a new Liveaboard Comparison Feature on the HelloDive platform.

The new tool allows customers to compare up to four liveaboards side-by-side on a single page, providing a clearer and more transparent way to evaluate different options. Key information such as vessel size, guest capacity, cabin numbers, build and renovation dates, itinerary details, onboard amenities, guide ratios, Nitrox availability, internet connectivity and pricing can now be viewed in a structured format without the need to jump between multiple pages.

While this feature improves the customer experience, it also creates new opportunities for suppliers.

Every liveaboard has its own strengths. For some travellers, cabin configuration may be the deciding factor. For others, it may be itinerary design, vessel size, Nitrox availability, Starlink connectivity, guide-to-guest ratios or overall value for money.

By presenting these differences clearly and transparently, the comparison tool helps customers better understand the unique advantages of each product rather than focusing solely on price. This allows suppliers to showcase the full value of their offering and helps customers make more informed booking decisions.

The launch of this feature reflects our broader commitment to continuously improving the HelloDive platform.
